<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer frame material for circumferential girder of a masonry building, which reduces labor during construction and shortens construction period; and a masonry building. <P>SOLUTION: An outer frame material 20 is provided with a horizontal piece 21, an outside standing piece 23, and an inside standing piece 22. Concrete 24 can be therefore placed among the horizontal piece 21, the outside standing piece 23, and the inside standing piece 22 without formwork. After the concrete 24 is cured, the outer frame material 20 itself constitutes a part of circumferential girders 6A and 6B. The top face 24a of the concrete 24 is configured at the height position of the top edge 22a of the inside standing piece 22. A second story floor 8B or a roof floor 8C which is supported by the top face 24a of the concrete 24 and the top edge 22a of the inside standing piece 22 has a top face 8a which is configured at the height position of the top edge 23a of the outside standing piece 23.
