<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a glass optical element with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The method of producing the glass optical element includes: a heating step of heating a glass material; a pressurizing step of pressurizing the glass material thus heated; and a cooling step of cooling the glass material.
