The present invention relates to a vacuum pump for assisting braking, comprising: a rotor combined with a driving source for providing a driving force including an engine; a vane combined with the rotor to be able to slide; a housing for forming a chamber, which is a partitioned space, by being in contact with the vane and receiving the rotor; a suction hole arranged on the housing to introduce fluid including air into the chamber; and a discharge hole arranged on the housing to discharge the fluid out of the housing from the chamber, wherein the housing includes an auxiliary suction hole formed to introduce the fluid into the chamber separately from the inlet. Accordingly, the efficiency of the pump can be enhanced by minimizing a change in the volume of air inside a moving chamber, and the reliability of a product can be improved by improving the vacuum performance of two chambers.
