A certification system based on BIM for evaluating building according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a BIM setting device which previously sets the attribute data of each material of a building, and appearance information in a library, constructs building information modeling (BIM) data, and provides a working platform for modeling an eco-friendly building in reference to the BIM data; and an evaluation device which extracts the BIM data of items required for certification for a building modeled by the BIM setting device, changes the BIM data when a certification level for extracted BIM data is less than a reference level, and updates it in the library of the BIM setting device.
