PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure that, when each of a plurality of vibration-proof elements is provided with a lock mechanism, the drive of a plurality of lock mechanism actuators does not affect other operations.SOLUTION: An optical apparatus according to the present invention includes: first and second vibration-proof elements 108, 109 that move in order to reduce image oscillations due to the oscillation of the apparatus; first and second lock means 202, 202' provided for each of the first and second vibration-proof elements and capable of switching between a lock state in which the movement of each vibration-proof element is constrained and an unlock state in which the constraint is released; and first and second actuators 202, 203' which are driven for switching each of the first and second lock means to the lock state and the unlock state. Control means 107 starts driving the second actuator after the drive of the first actuator is completed when switching the first and second lock means from one of the lock and unlock states to the other. |
