METHOD FOR MEASURING RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL CONCENTRATION OF RADIOACTIVE CONTAMINANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for accurately and efficiently measuring radioactive material concentration of radioactive contaminants such as contaminated soil contaminated with radioactive material.SOLUTION: A method for measuring radioactive material concentration of radioactive contaminants comprises a batch processing step and a continuous processing step. The batch processing step includes: a lot cutting step for taking out a prescribed amount of radioactive contaminants; and a weight measuring step for measuring the weight of the radioactive contaminants taken out in the lot cutting step. The continuous processing step includes: a compression molding step for performing compression-molding of the radioactive contaminants for each lot processed in the batch processing step; a geometry measuring step for measuring the geometry of the radioactive contaminants after molding; a radiation counting rate measuring step for measuring the radiation counting rate of the radioactive contaminants after molding; and a radioactive material concentration calculation step for obtaining radioactive material concentration on the basis of the weight, geometry and radiation counting rate of the radioactive contaminants for each lot.
