PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode used for a non-aqueous electrolyte battery which has initial discharge capacity higher than that of a conventional non-aqueous electrolyte battery and excellent cycle characteristics, and also to provide the non-aqueous electrolyte battery equipped with the positive electrode.SOLUTION: A positive electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte battery contains at least a positive electrode active material and an organic phosphorus compound. The organic phosphorus compound contains two or more phosphorus-containing functional groups of at least one kind selected from the group consisting of -PH(=O)OH and -P(OH)and the content ratio of the organic phosphorus compound is 0.1 to 0.5 mass%. |
