PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of improving torque of an embedded magnet type rotary electric machine and reducing torque ripple.SOLUTION: An embedded magnet type rotary electric machine includes: a stator 20 around which an excitation coil 25 is wound; and a rotor 1 which is rotated while facing the stator 20 with a predetermined gap 30 interposed therebetween. The rotor 1 includes: a rotor core 2; permanent magnets 3a and 3b which are embedded within the rotor core 2 and form a magnetic pole P1 of the rotor 1; and directional members 5a and 5b including an axis 6 of easy magnetization and an axis 7 of hard magnetization. A permeability in a direction where the axis 7 of hard magnetization extends is made lower than a permeability of the rotor core 2, and a magnetic flux 8 of the permanent magnets 3a and 3b is concentrated in magnet magnetic flux concentration areas Sand Sformed in the rotor core 2 on the basis of the directional members 5a and 5b. |
