PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission control device capable of appropriately executing upshifting for decreasing the number of revolutions of an input shaft of a continuously variable transmission while reflecting a driver's acceleration intention or a vehicle travel state in a case of executing the upshifting in a vehicle mounting therein the continuously variable transmission.SOLUTION: A control device of a continuously variable transmission shifting gears to transmit power output from a driving power source of a vehicle to driving wheels, comprises gear shifting control means for executing an upshifting control to decrease the number of revolutions of an input shaft of the continuously variable transmission if the number of revolutions of the input shaft reaches a predetermined number of revolutions, and changes a frequency with which the gear shifting control means can execute the upshifting control during the continuation of accelerating travel on the basis of driver's driving manipulation on the vehicle if the vehicle accelerates and travels to correspond to the driver's driving manipulation on the vehicle.
