PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car washing machine having a side brush capable of easily coping with various types of rear wiper loading heights, capable of safely washing a rear window part, and capable of further reducing an unwashed part, while being a small division constitution, and to provide a car washing method capable of safely washing the rear window part, and capable of further reducing the unwashed part.SOLUTION: A car washing machine WA is provided so that a side brush 5 is formed as a vertical two-piece division constitution, and the vertical divided length of a vertical rotary brush body is set as the different length between a left side brush 5A and a right side brush 5B, and a vehicle rear surface is washed by using the side brush. A car washing method is provided so that a washing area of the vehicle rear surface is partitioned into three areas of a left side area DA1, a right side area DB1 and an intermediate area DAB, and the intermediate area DAB is set as an area capable of washing by both left-right side brushes, and any one of the left side brush 5A or the right side brush 5B is selectively brushed in response to a vehicle height of a washing object vehicle CA. |
