PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variations in the attitude of a carriage during a liquid jet operation for jetting liquid from a liquid jet head while reciprocating the carriage in a scanning direction.SOLUTION: A carriage 2 includes two belt grips 41 and 42 disposed to be away from each other in a conveyance direction. The belt grips 41 and 42 are mounted in portions 31a and 32a extending in a scanning direction of the belts 31 and 32, respectively. Tension of the belt 31 is changed according to the attitude of the carriage 2 during a printing operation for jetting ink from a nozzle 10 while reciprocating the carriage 2 in the scanning direction so as to move the belt grip 41 in the scanning direction with respect to the belt grip 42, thereby adjusting the attitude of the carriage 2. |
