PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device and an ink jet recording device capable of suppressing the adhesion of ink mist to a recording head with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A conveying device is disposed to face a recording head. The conveying device comprises a conveyor belt and a suction part. The suction part sucks a recording medium P through the conveyor belt. The suction part includes an air circulation chamber 361 and a guide member. The air circulation chamber is disposed on one surface side of the conveyor belt, and negative pressure for sucking the recording medium to the other surface side of the conveyor belt is generated. The guide member covers the air circulation chamber and supports the conveyor belt. The air circulation chamber includes a partition wall 366 for partitioning the air circulation chamber into a first space A1 and a second space A2. A third space A3 included in the first space faces the recording head through the conveyor belt and the guide member. The negative pressure of the first space is greater than the negative pressure of the second space.
