PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous metal complex having terephthalic acid as a ligand, the complex having both high heat resistance and a high specific surface area.SOLUTION: Provided is a metal complex having a structure where terephthalic acid is coordinated to an aluminum ion cluster with the space group being Fd-3m. Such a metal complex can be obtained by a production method having a reaction step of reacting a raw material mixture comprising an aluminum source, terephthalic acid, and an aprotic solvent, where a molar ratio of water to the aluminum in the raw material mixture is 1.0 or less. |
