PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance type level measuring apparatus capable of preventing adhesion of a conductive foreign substance to an insulation member, even under a situation where a high-temperature organic substance is present inside a hopper in the form of a gas.SOLUTION: A capacitance type level measuring apparatus 10 for detecting a level position of a high-temperature coal stored inside a hopper 50 on the basis of a change in a capacitance, includes: an earth electrode 25 conducted to the hopper 50; a detection electrode extended to the inside of the hopper 50; an insulation member 27 that is extended to the inside of the hopper 50, covers a periphery of the detection electrode 26 such that a part of the detection electrode 26 extended to the inside of the hopper 50 is exposed, and insulates between the earth electrode 25 and the detection electrode 26; and a purge pipe 30 that guides, to a surface of the insulation member 27, heated gas for retaining a temperature of the surface of the insulation member 27 to a melting point or more of the organic substance present in the hopper 50. |
