PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery that can effectively prevent reduction of a discharge capacity retention after repetition of charging and discharging even after a high-temperature heating treatment has been executed at a temperature of more than 100°C and not more than 400°C for 10 minutes or more to form an activation layer.SOLUTION: A surface treatment copper foil for a lithium ion secondary battery constitutes a negative electrode for the lithium ion secondary battery. A zinc-based dispersion plating layer in which chrome oxide is dispersed in zinc plating or zinc alloy plating is formed on at least one surface of copper foil. The negative electrode of the lithium ion secondary battery has the surface treatment copper foil, and an active material layer on the zinc-based dispersion plating layer of the surface treatment copper foil, and has a heat hysteresis of 10 minutes or more at the temperature of more than 100°C and not more than 400°C. |
