PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus configured to prevent an image from being stained with toner or the like accumulated and dropping from an openable/closable shutter member for protecting a sensor.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 10 includes: a movable image conveyance body 7; sensors 102, 103 arranged opposite the image conveyance body 7 to detect a state of an object on the image conveyance body 7; and a shutter member 106 arranged between the sensors 102, 103 and the image conveyance body, and moving between an open position and a closed position. The image forming apparatus includes vibration means 172b for vibrating the shutter member 106, and control means 200 for causing the vibration means 172b to execute vibration operation for vibrating the shutter member 106, on the basis of image formation history information. |
