PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a server device and the like that are capable of providing a user with information related to the medium of a printed matter by reading an image of the medium of the printed matter even for a printed matter which is already printed without changing the medium of the printed matter.SOLUTION: A server device receives photographic image feature quantity data including a calculated local invariant feature quantity of a plurality of feature points for an image of a medium on the basis of image data generated by a user photographing the medium with a camera included in a communication terminal device. Then, the server device determines whether the image feature quantity data of the medium including the received photographic image feature quantity data is in a database on the basis of image feature quantity data of media recorded in the data base. As a result, if the server device determines that the image feature quantity data of the medium is in the database, it transmits medium related information recorded in the database by associating the same with the image feature quantity data of the medium to the communication terminal device, and provides it for the user. |
