摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for measuring a furnace inner layer height for protecting a guide pipe for use in guiding a weight for measuring the furnace inner layer height.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a device for measuring a height of accumulated layer in a furnace where a guide pipe 11 is advanced into and arranged at a measuring hole 23 passing through a furnace upper wall 20 of a waste gasification melting furnace. A weight 34 for measuring operation that is guided by the guide pipe in such a way that it can be moved up and down is hung by a hanging body, the weight 34 passes through a lower end opening of the guide pipe 11 so as to measure the accumulated layer height on the basis of a moving distance of a hanging body 31 from passing of the weight to reaching the accumulated layer in the furnace. The guide pipe 11 receives inert gas as purge gas in the guide pipe and discharges it out of the lower end opening, a nozzle pipe 12 for releasing an annular clearance 13 downwardly around the outer circumferential surface of the gas pipe 11 is fixed to the inner surface of the measuring hole, and the protruded portion of the nozzle pipe out of the furnace is provided with an auxiliary purge gas pouring port 14 where inert gas is fed as auxiliary purge gas into the annular clearance 13.
