Disclosed are a method for providing a communication service, a terminal thereof, and a server thereof. A communication unit transmits a message to a server wherein the message requests mapping between a virtual address and a first IP address and receives an IP packet having the first IP address from the server through a first communication network. The control unit controls the first IP address of the IP packet that the communication unit receives to be converted into a virtual address mapped on the first IP address. The method for providing a communication service, the terminal thereof, and the server thereof can make seamless handover possible if additional equipment or facility such as WAG is not required in case of conversion between a mobile communication network and a wireless internet network. |
