An embodiment of the present invention provides a multilayer ceramic electronic component. It may include: a plurality of active parts which include a plurality of dielectric layers and a plurality of internal electrodes that are alternately arranged, the active parts being stacked; an interlayer margin part which is arranged between the active parts adjacent to each other and contains magnesium; an upper cover part which is arranged on the upper side of the uppermost active part among the active parts and contains magnesium; and a lower cover part which is arranged on the lower side of the lowermost active part among the active parts and contains magnesium. The upper cover part, the lower cover part, and the interlayer margin part include magnesium-nickel oxide layers formed on interfaces thereof adjacent to the active parts.
