Disclosed is a method for managing quality of a slab. Provided is a method for managing quality of a slab, comprising the following steps: calculating a standard peripheral speed depending on peripheral width of a continuous casting mold for manufacturing a slab; predicting the location of an inclusion of the slave, included due to a mold powder mixed into molten steel, by comparing an operating peripheral speed of a submerged nozzle discharging the molten steel into the continuous casting mold with the standard peripheral speed; and scarfing the slab upon the location of the inclusion.
