PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means which stably restores a nipping force of a roller pair when the nipping force of the roller pair is weakened as a guide member opens and is closed.SOLUTION: A transfer device includes: a housing 14 having a transfer passage 65; a transfer roller 60 and a pinch roller 61 which are disposed at the transfer passage 65 and face each other; an outer guide member 18 which moves to a first position where the outer guide member 18 defines the transfer passage 65 and a second position where the outer guide member 18 opens the transfer passage 65; and a roller holder 85 which supports the pinch roller 61; a biasing member 72 which is provided at the roller holder 85 and biases the pinch roller 61 to the transfer roller 60 side; and a load adjustment member 80 provided at the outer guide member 18, the load adjustment member 80 contacting with the biasing member 72 to increase a biasing force when the outer guide member 18 is in the first position and separates from the biasing member 72 when the outer guide member 18 is in the second position. |
