A damping force-controlling shock absorber according to the present invention is a damping force-controlling shock absorber comprising: an inner tube and an outer tube filled with fluid; a solenoid valve combined with the lower end of a piston rod placed inside the inner tube; a piston valve combined with the lower end of the solenoid valve to divide the inside of the inner tube into a compression chamber and a tension chamber; and a body valve for separating a storage chamber between the inner tube and the outer tube from the compression chamber. The damping force-controlling shock absorber comprises: a connection flow path formed inside the solenoid valve and allowing the tension chamber to communicate with the compression chamber through the piston valve; and a plunger installed to be able to be moved in a soft or hard mode on the connection flow path by the magnetic force of the solenoid valve, opening the connection flow path when moving in the soft mode, and closing the connection flow path when moving in the hard mode. |
