PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide superconductive thin film wire rod which is prevented reliably in occurrence of cracks in cooling and occurrence of burning of joined parts when an electric current is applied to an oxide superconductive thin film wire rod involving solder joining.SOLUTION: An oxide superconductive thin film wire rod includes a two-axis oriented substrate provided with a ceramic-made middle layer on a metal substrate, an oxide superconductive layer formed on the substrate, an Ag protective layer formed on the oxide superconductive layer and a Cu stabilization layer formed on the outer periphery of a laminate composed of the substrate, the oxide superconductive layer and the Ag protective layer, laminated together, and the surface roughness of the upper and lower surfaces of the Cu stabilization layer formed on the outer periphery of the laminate is 0.5-50 μm in terms of the maximum height Rz by JIS B0601 2001. The surface roughness of the upper and lower surfaces of the Cu stabilization layer is preferably 1-25 μm in terms of the maximum height Rz by JIS B0601 2001. |
