PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the visibility of an observation image is damaged by a menu superimposedly displayed in a display screen.SOLUTION: An image processor includes image generation means for generating an observation image, display means for displaying the generated observation image in a prescribed observation image display area within a display screen, superimposition means for superimposedly displaying a prescribed menu in the display screen, and insertion determination means for determining whether an electronic scope is inserted into a body cavity. When determining that the electronic scope is not inserted into the body cavity, the superimposition means superimposedly displays the prescribed menu in a first area where the portion thereof overlaps the observation image display area, and when determining that the electronic scope is inserted into the body cavity, the superimposition means superimposedly displays the prescribed menu in a second area in which an area overlapping the observation image display area is smaller than in the case of being superimposedly displayed in the first area. |
