The present invention relates to a variable display device and a driving method for a flat mode and a curved mode thereof, capable of variable usage of a flat mode and a curved mode. The present invention is equipped with a back cover system which includes a bending pipe on a rear surface of a display panel module, thereby selectively enabling the variable usage of the flat mode and the convex curved mode or a concave curved mode. Accordingly, when spatial utilization needs to be enhanced, the flat mode may be implemented in order to minimize a space occupied by a variable display device. The concave curved mode may be implemented to increase a degree of immersion and represent a more realistic image, allowing a user to feel more comfortable. In order to deliver content such as news or advertisements with a panel installed in an indoor plaza like an airport or a terminal, or in an open area like an outdoor plaza; the convex curved mode may be implemented to represent a wider field of view, thus providing more convenience to the user. |
