PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulky knitted fabric which can be knitted so as to be bulky in the thickness direction thereof; and to provide a method for knitting the same.SOLUTION: From a base knitted fabric 5 on BB shown in (a), the starting end of an additional knitted fabric 6 is branched off, and the additional knitted fabric 6 is knitted on FB as shown in (b). On BB, the base knitted fabric 5 is additionally knitted to provide clearance as shown in (c). As shown in (d), the starting end of a reinforcing knitted fabric 7 is branched off on BB, and the reinforcing knitted fabric 7 is knitted on FB. As shown (e), the base knitted fabric 5 as the clearance is additionally knitted on BB. As shown in (f) and (g), the terminal end of the reinforcing knitted fabric 7 and the terminal end of the additional knitted fabric 6 are each joined to the base knitted fabric 5. Then, the base knitted fabric 5 is additionally knitted, so that a bulky knitted fabric 10 as shown in (h) can be obtained. |
