PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user, even when the user has deleted character strings to an unintended range, to restore the character strings to an intended range without requiring a complicated operation.SOLUTION: A character input device according to the present embodiment includes: input means for performing editing including input and deletion of characters on the basis of an input position; display means for displaying input character strings input to the input means; and restoration means for, when at least one character in the input character strings has been deleted and then an instruction to cancel the deletion has been input, restoring the deleted character on the basis of the input position in a predetermined character fixed collection unit. |
