PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape recognition device capable of generating a distortion value which can more accurately recognize a distortion of the surface of an object.SOLUTION: From three-dimensional shape data which represents a shape of the surface of an object, a base shape data comprising a curvature group relatively roughly reflecting the shape, and a detailed shape data comprising a curvature group relatively minutely reflecting the shape are generated. Design shape data comprising the designed curvature group of the surface of an object is obtained. With focusing a predetermined region of the surface of the object, it is determined whether the curvature obtained from the design shape data is included or not in an acceptable range of a predetermined width using the curvature obtained from the base shape data as a reference. When the curvature obtained from the design shape data is not included in the acceptable range of the predetermined width using the curvature obtained from the base shape data as the reference, a difference between the curvature obtained from the design shape data and the curvature obtained from the detailed shape data is generated as a distortion value. |
