PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus capable of controlling sheet holding pressure of a conveying roller pair in accordance with a sheet loop situation between skew correction means and the conveying roller pair, and sufficiently ensuring print quality with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a register roller pair 14 and a register shutter 22 for correcting skew by abutting a front end of a sheet S, and conveying the sheet; a conveying roller pair 13 disposed on the upstream of a sheet conveying direction; a solenoid for changing sheet holding pressure of the conveying roller pair 13; a loop detection sensor 34 and a loop detection flag 33 for detecting a loop formed on the sheet S in a sheet conveying path 36; and a control part for controlling the solenoid so as to reduce the sheet holding pressure of the conveying roller pair 13 when a predetermined amount or more of the loop is detected by the loop detection sensor 34 and the loop detection flag 33. |
