The present invention relates to an electric shock prevention socket and a plug thereof which secures normal operations of the socket as preventing electric shock due to electricity flowing in the socket even though a foreign substance like a steel wire besides the plug is inserted into the socket. According to the present invention, the plug (100) comprises: a cap member (110) which has a side connection hole (111) on a side for an internal space to be opened on a side thereof; and a plug port member (120) embedded in the internal space of the cap member (110) and protruded to be able to contract to the side connection hole (111) of the cap member (110). Moreover, the socket (200) of the present invention comprises: a socket tube body (210) which has an internal space opened upwards in order for the cap member (110) of the plug (100) be inserted, and has a side through-hole (211) opened on a rear in order for the plug port member (120) of the plug (100) passing through the side connection hole (111) of the plug (100) be penetrated; and a socket port member (220) comprised on an outer side of the socket tube body (210) and electrically connected to the plug port member (120) protruded through the side through-hole (211).
