According to an embodiment of the present invention, a tire pressure monitoring system of a motor-driven vehicle comprises: a resolver for detecting the speed of a motor which generates power; a wheel speed sensor for detecting the speed of a wheel which rotates by the power generated by the motor; a transmission for reducing the power generated by the motor; and a control unit for comparing a first target wheel speed, which is calculated by using the speed of the motor detected through the resolver, and the wheel speed, which is detected by the wheel speed sensor, when a wheel slip rate is smaller than the set value to determine the status of the tire. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the tire pressure monitoring system of a motor-driven vehicle does not have an additional sensor for measuring the pressure of a tire and indirectly monitors tire pressure by using a resolver and a wheel speed sensor placed in the motor-driven vehicle to reduce the manufacturing cost of a vehicle. |
