A wall of the hollow portion of the bearing structure forms an external casing for the part of the assisting device. The part of the assisting device comprises an electrical motor. The steering rack is placed in another hollow portion of the bearing structure. The bearing structure whose extruded part is made of light alloy such as aluminum alloy.
