Disclosed are a distributed containment control method and apparatus of a high-order multi-agent system. The distributed containment control method of the following agent included in the multi-agent system includes the steps of: obtaining location information for a plurality of leading agents; and calculating the control input of the following agent to locate the following agent in a virtual convex hull determined by the location of the leading agents by using the location information.
