The present invention relates to a smart jump rope which comprises: a rope for a jump rope, into which multiple LEDs are inserted; and handles disposed at both ends of the rope for a jump rope, wherein the handle includes: a rotator connected to the rope for a jump rope to rotate by interworking with rotation of the rope for a jump rope; a signal input portion accommodating the rotator to recognize rotation of the rotator and a location of the rope for a jump rope; a communicator interworking with a communications terminal; a controller controlling flickering of the multiple LEDs based on control signals transmitted from the signal input portion and the communicator and transmitting a process or a result of a jump rope workout via the communicator to the communications terminal; and a battery portion supplying operation power to the signal input portion, the communicator and the controller, wherein a detected element is arranged at one side of the rotator and a detecting element is arranged at one side of the signal input portion based on a planar cross section and one-time detection of the detected element by the detecting element is determined as a one-time jumping rope to transmit the number of jumping rope to the controller. Accordingly, in a jump rope workout, due to an afterimage effect of flickering LEDs according to a previously inputted afterimage pattern induced by centrifugal force, the number of jumping rope, a character or a picture can be presented in the air over the head of a user to maximize a workout effect by visually attracting the interests of a user. In addition, the jump rope interworks with an application on a smartphone to allow a user to manage the jump rope workout and smoothly use various functions of the smartphone during jumping rope. Furthermore, the count of jumping rope is accurately identified to output the accurate number of jumping rope as an afterimage to a user. |
