Disclosed is a mobile terminal. The mobile terminal comprises a display screen. The display screen comprises at least two subscreens. The mobile terminal also comprises: a determining unit, configured to determine, according to different applications, subscreens in the display screen for displaying images for the applications; and a turnoff unit, configured to turn off subscreens that do not display images. In addition, also disclosed are a method for reducing power consumption of the mobile terminal and a computer storage medium.
