<p>A portable processing apparatus comprises a video camera operable to capture images of a scene comprising an augmented reality marker. The apparatus comprises a content reproduction unit operable to reproduce audio and visual content. The reproduction unit comprises a display operable to display media content associated with the augmented reality marker in combination with the images captured by the camera. The apparatus comprises a processor operable to detect the augmented reality marker within the captured images and a receiver operable to receive the media content from a media content source. In response to detection of an augmented reality marker, the processor is operable to cause the display to present a list comprising information relating to media content associated with that marker for user selection of media content to be reproduced. In response to user selection of media content from the list, the processor is operable to cause the selected media content to be received by the receiver from the media content source and cause reproduction of the selected media content by the reproduction unit as augmented reality media within the captures images.</p> |
