Provided are a catalyzer and a catalyst apparatus capable of protecting and maintaining a catalyzer body at the same time. The catalyzer comprises: a maintaining member (32) formed into a tubular or annular shape by weaving and compressing wire; a catalyzer body (31) inserted into an inner circumferential portion of the maintaining member (32) and immersed with a metal catalyst and having a mesh shape with every fiber material or wire weaved and having a wire knit structure formed into a predetermined outer shape by wrapping the mesh; and a net member (34) disposed on a cross-section of the maintaining member (32) and having a large eye so as not to block an exhaust gas flowing into the catalyzer body (31) which is intended to prevent an escape from the maintaining member (32) of the catalyzer body (31).
