Another factor is that it does not have gears which when wearing during impact condition, contaminate the oil with metal particles and increase the oil temperature which leads to oil degradation. Modifications will also allow to reduce weight and cost of exciter fabrication.

Abstract The gear housing is split into two chambers to provide reliable oil sump lubrication. The exciter will be driven by two external electric motors and because of the counter rotation the counterweights will self-synchronise together and about the centre of gravity of the vibrating screen.
