Disclosed are a system and a method for extracting carbonate minerals using paper processing water and carbon dioxide discharged during a paper making process. The system for extracting carbonate minerals using wastewater and carbon dioxide discharged during a paper making process comprises: a dust filtration unit (110) which receives waste gas generated during a paper making process, and removes fine dust therefrom; a carbon dioxide collection processing unit (120) which receives the waste gas from which fine dust has been removed, and collects carbon dioxide contained therein; a carbon dioxide microbubble generation unit (130) which receives a basic solution and the collected carbon dioxide, and generates carbon dioxide microbubbles; a carbonate mineral reaction tank (140) which receives the carbon dioxide microbubbles and paper processing water containing calcium ions, and generates carbonate minerals through a carbonation reaction of calcium ions and magnesium ions in paper processing water; a carbonate mineral precipitation tank (160) in which the carbonate minerals in paper processing water is deposited; and a control unit (300) which controls the operation of the dust filtration unit (110), the carbon dioxide collection processing unit (120), the carbon dioxide microbubble generation unit (130) and the carbonate mineral reaction tank (140). |
