The invention relates to a profile connector for connecting a first and a second profile bar (3, 4), composed in particular of a light metal alloy, having a body (5) which can be received in an undercut longitudinal groove (34) of the second profile bar (4) and which has least one support leg (7) for support against an undercut (9, 10) of the undercut longitudinal groove (34) of the second profile bar (4), and having an armature screw (13), which is received in a passage opening (12) formed into the body (5) and extending perpendicular to a longitudinal extent of the body (5) and which has a screw head and which serves for fixing the profile connector (1), in particular at a face side, to the first profile bar (3), and having a first clamping screw (22) which is received in a first internally threaded opening (20) provided in the body (5) and extending at an angle with respect to a longitudinal central axis (LA) of the passage opening (12) and which serves for the adjustment of the body (1) along the armature screw (13) away from the armature screw head (19) in the direction of the first profile bar (3) by virtue of the first clamping screw (22) being tightened in the internal thread of the first internally threaded opening (20) and, in the process, the first clamping screw (22) being supported against the armature screw (13). It is provided according to the invention that, on the body (5), there is formed a moulding-in geometry (29) which is designed and arranged to mould, in particular at a face side, into the first profile bar (3) by virtue of the first clamping screw (22) being tightened in order to produce positive locking between the body (5) and the first profile bar (3). |
