PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an optical element with high handleability, easy to be held and installed; an enhanced optical element including the optical element; and a lamp house.SOLUTION: An optical element 1 includes a polygonal-prism-shaped transparent body which comprises: four inner wall surfaces 12a-12d surrounding a prismatic space 11 having a square-shaped opening in plan view; four outer wall surfaces 13a-13d respectively parallel to the inner wall surfaces 12a-12d; and two outer wall surfaces 13e, 13f that are perpendicular to one diagonal line of the square-shaped opening and face each other. A distance between the two outer wall surfaces facing each other is larger than the diagonal line. |
