PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a web client to detect the completion of data transmission from a web server even when not using Flash.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 transmits a computer program to a terminal device 2. This computer program causes, when specific data starts to be received from the image forming apparatus 1, the terminal device 2 to execute processing for inquiring of the image forming apparatus 1 about the transmission state of the specific data in the image forming apparatus 1; and causes the terminal device 2 to execute predetermined processing after a reply indicating the completion of the transmission is made.
