PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that enables determination of cyclic prefix length in an OFDM communication system.SOLUTION: A base station for transmitting OFDM data in a sub-frame comprising orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols comprises means that includes transmission means for transmitting a default cyclic prefix to each of first one or multiple OFDM symbols in a sub-frame, and for transmitting a cyclic prefix with extended length to remaining OFDM symbols, and that transmits a multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) signal in the remaining OFDM symbols. The base station applies prescribed non-zero cyclic delay to a first OFDM symbol in a sub-frame in which the MBMS signal is transmitted, and applies zero cyclic delay to a first OFDM symbol in a sub-frame in which the MBMS signal is not transmitted. |
