PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detection accuracy of a lane division line.SOLUTION: A lane division line detection device 120 includes: a candidate extract part 1002 for extracting a line element serving as a candidate of a lane division line from a photographic image; and a candidate verification part 1003 for determining whether the line element extracted by the candidate extract part 1002 is the lane division line on the basis of image characteristics in a region in specified position relation with respect to the line element extract by the candidate extract part 1002.
