PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-durable low refractive index film which has a low refractive index, is highly anti-reflective, and exhibits small refractive index variation even after being kept in a high-temperature high-humidity environment for a prolonged period of time.SOLUTION: A low refractive index film is obtained by coating a substrate or a layer formed on the substrate with a composition containing aggregates comprising fumed silica particles aggregated together and a hydrolysate of silicon alkoxide and then baking the coated product. The film has a porosity of 15-55%, a refractive index in a range of 1.15-1.39 immediately after baking, and a refractive index variation of no more than 8%. |
