Provided is a drill chuck that allows for reliable and easy mounting and detaching of tools and enables both tool attachment and detachment via a chuck key and tool attachment and detachment by one's bare hands alone. The drill chuck (11) comprises: jaws (31) for holding a tool in the space formed between the jaws, wherein said jaws (31) are mounted on the front part of a drill chuck body (21) so as to be movable to the leading end side and to the machine mounting side (A) relative to the drill chuck body (21) and are configured so that the inner circumferential diameter between the jaws is widened when the jaws are moved to the leading end side or the machine mounting side (A) relative to the drill chuck body (21); a rotary sleeve (41) that is disposed on the outer circumference of the drill chuck body (21) and that moves the jaws (31) by rotating along the outer circumference of the drill chuck body (21); and a bevel gear (42) that is provided on the machine mounting side (A) of the rotary sleeve (41) and that causes the rotary sleeve (41) to rotate when an engaged chuck key (61, 62) is operated. |
