Provided is a secondary battery capable of improving cycle characteristics and swollenness characteristics. The secondary battery includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and an electrolyte. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode active material layer having a plurality of fine pores on a negative electrode current collector. The negative electrode active material layer includes a negative electrode active material and a negative electrode binder. A change rate of a mercury intrusion into the plurality of fine pores measured by mercury porosimetry is distributed to show a peak in the pore diameter range from 30 to 10,000 nm, both inclusive. |
