Provided are an apparatus and a method for implementing a P300 component-based BCI. The apparatus may include: a display unit which displays the P300 component-based BCI, including multiple items to be selected, to a user; a division unit which divides the items into the N number of subgroups based on frequencies of using each item when N is an integer greater than 1; and a flash unit which induces the N number of items to illuminate every time in the BCI with a predetermined frequency to make the user feel flashing of each item. The higher a use frequency of an item is, the smaller a subgroup of the item can be. One item can be randomly selected from each subgroup to compose the N number of items. |
