MULTI-USER SYSTEM BY ONE COMPUTER AND METHOD FOR MANAGING THE SAME

The present invention relates to a system enabling multiple users to use a single computer and an operating method thereof. The system enables the users to use the single PC as one′s own PC by using the respective monitors and without a central processing unit (CPU) or a main memory device. The system includes: a signal generation unit which generates a signal corresponding to a user input; a first communication unit which transmits the signal generated by the signal generation unit to a second communication unit; a second communication unit which communicates with the first communication unit to transmit the signal generated by the signal generation unit to a display unit; the display unit which outputs the signal generated by the signal generation unit and received from the second communication unit; an input device unit formed on the display unit to input data to the signal generation unit; a power switch/power display unit, or a power switch capable of turning on a power source of the signal generation unit remotely; and a control unit which controls the power switch or the power switch/power display unit. The power switch additionally includes a control unit for controlling the power switch linked with multiple other power switches or operating only the switches turned on. The control unit determines whether the power source of the signal generation unit is on or off in order to turn the power source on when the power source is off, and turn off the power source and not the operate the power switch when the power switch is pressed while the power source is on, thereby enabling the power source to be safely used without being turned off.
